We are excited to kick off three brand new 5-week Sunday night discipleship classes beginning September 22! The three upcoming classes are “In the Beginning: Survey of Genesis”, “The Chosen Film Series” and “When Life Gets Real”. This Sunday, August 11, HopeCity Kids ages Pre-K and older will move up to their next grade level class. Rising kindergarteners will move to Uptown (Elementary) and all other elementary small groups will move to their next elementary small group class. We are looking forward to see how God will work this new school year!

HopeCity Music is holding auditions on August 22! Specifically, we are auditioning for drums, bass guitar, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals, keys/piano, and violin. Both live and video auditions are possible. Get more information and sign up at hopecitync.com/audition

HopeCity Kids is collecting used sports equipment every Sunday during the month of August to benefit Crossnore School & Children’s Home. Specific items that will be collected are baseball bats and gloves, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, cleats, shin guards and tennis rackets.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Summer Family Cookout on Sunday night! From a water slide, to great food, to corn hole and Kan Jam tournaments...it was impactful being together as a church and getting to meet new people!

We want to let you know about an 8-week post abortion care group on Wednesday nights, beginning on August 7. If abortion is part of your story, it is never an easy subject matter, no matter how someone is connected to it. This group provides a space for women who have chosen to have an abortion to share their experience and find healing. This group is confidential and non-judgmental. In this group women are encouraged to face their past choices and choose to embrace God's forgiveness and wholeness that He is offering.
